AIM

AIM

Who we are

Africa Inland Mission (AIM) is a Christian mission sending agency. We have our roots in a small band of faithful men and women who, in 1895, followed God’s call to venture inland to reach Africans untouched by the gospel. Their vision set the course of AIM for 120 years, as a community called and sent to live and minister among Africa’s least-reached peoples. A call that still remains.

Our heart is to see the worship of Jesus Christ spread across the continent of Africa – through individual lives fully committed to him, and collectively through Christ-centred church communities. The Church in Africa is vast and growing daily. But with over 1000 African people groups who have yet to hear the good news of Jesus Christ, the task is far from finished. Contact us to find out how you can be a part of God’s mission plan in Africa.

Why we love GOfest

AIM is delighted to be a GOfest partner. Together with other gospel centred agencies, Bible Colleges and local churches across the UK we’re looking forward to growing opportunities and relationships that will see an increase in mission workers, as we serve and partner together for God’s glory among all peoples.

Christian Vocations provides resources and information for Christians exploring future options in life, work and service, looking to use their gifts and passions to serve God. We do this by:

  • providing details on jobs in the UK church and Christian charity sector
  • providing information on a wide range of short-term programmes and longer term international opportunities
  • providing resources, information and tools to help Christians identify their gifts and to consider God’s calling on their lives
  • partnering agencies, events and churches to help Christians find open doors of opportunity, using their God-given gifts

Global Connections

Global Connections

Who we are

With over 300 members Global Connections is a growing, vibrant network of UK agencies, churches, colleges and support services linked together for resources, learning and representation. Together, we seek to serve, equip and develop churches in their mission in order to fulfil our shared vision of ’mission at the heart of the church, the church at the heart of mission’. Our members include organisations of all sizes, working in countries all over the world and with a wide variety of projects including education, relief and development, humanitarian projects as well as establishing new churches.

Drawing on this wealth of experience and expertise we seek to address the key on-going challenges in our collective worldwide mission as well as discussing how best to tackle some of the emerging issues and dramatic changes taking place in the world around us.

By operating as a network we believe that we are stronger together.

Gospel for Asia

Gospel for Asia

Who we are

Gospel for Asia is involved in sharing the love of Christ through national missionaries. These men and women missionaries are trained in Bible colleges to share the hope found in Christ. After training, they go to some of the most needy people in Asia and share the love of God in the nations they serve.  Gospel for Asia also helps minister to children through the Bridge of Hope Programme, providing education, quality meals and a loving environment to children in Asia.  Through Gospel for Asia-supported Compassion Services teams, victims of natural disasters, such as floods, cyclones and tsunamis, receive the help they desperately need. Gospel for Asia-supported workers also serve in leprosy colonies, offer medical clinics in poor areas, and help widows and abandoned children in crisis situations by providing for tangible needs like food, clothing and shelter.

Why we love GOfest

The greatest days for the church of mission, revival, and sacrifice still lay ahead.  The mission agencies that constitute GOfest represent over four centuries’ of experience in bringing the Gospel to mankind.  GOfest is an indispensable resource to the church, and we are privileged to be a part of it.

Operation Mobilisation

OM

Who we are

Established in 1957 by visionary, George Verwer, OM is a dynamic, international Christian missions movement whose aim is to pioneer and lead initiatives to redeem lives, rebuild communities and restore hope. In the OM family of ministries, we have 6,100 workers representing over 113 nations in more than 110 countries and in world port communities, through our ship, Logos Hope. We have One Message - the same message Jesus brought - that is to bring Good News to the poor, to proclaim freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.

We ask Christians to partner with OM in prayer, through financial giving and by going either on Short Term Mission outreaches or joining longer term. You can also do a GAP year with OM or take a career break.

Why we love GOfest

OM began with a short term mission trip to Mexico in 1957. 60 years later, OM teams both in the UK and around the world need willing servants to join the movement and bring the Good News to the least reached. GOfest is an opportunity for OM to encourage Christians into mission.

OMF International

OMF International

Who we are

OMF International partners with the global church to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in all its fullness with East Asia’s people. Through God’s grace, we aim to see indigenous, Biblical churches in each people group of East Asia, evangelising their own people and reaching out in mission to others. We place people for church planting, evangelism, mission in the work place, student ministry and theological education.

Why we love GOfest

OMF believes involvement in mission is an essential part of being a faithful disciple of Jesus. We are excited how GOfest provides a great way to learn more about the various ways of being involved in the Great Commission.

WEC International

WEC International

Who we are

WEC International takes the good news to the peoples and nations who have yet to hear it: the good news that Christ came to bring forgiveness of sins and peace with God, and to displace hatred with love.

Listening to, serving and walking alongside local people, we form disciples, expecting to see churches flourish in cultures where Christ is little known. This involves us in many diverse activities, as fits local needs, including: youth work, teaching, medical work, music and the arts, Bible translation and literacy, work with addicts and children in crisis, business skills and helping local Christians share the gospel cross-culturally.

WEC is committed to finding new, creative and culturally-relevant ways of doing mission.

Why we love GOfest

WEC UK is delighted to be a partner of GOfest to bring UK Christians face-to-face with the possibilities of mission and celebrate what God is doing in the world.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Wycliffe

Who we are

Wycliffe Bible Translators believe that the Bible is the best way for people to come to know and understand who God is. Our vision is that by working with churches, organisations and individuals from around the world all people will have access to God’s word in a language that they truly understand.

At least 1.5 billion people do not have access to the story of God’s love for his people - the story of the Bible - in the language that they understand the best. Of the 7,097 languages in the world today, only 636 have a complete Bible.

Why we love GOfest

Philippians 1 carries a commendation from Paul about partnership for the Gospel. It is Wycliffe’s privilege to partner with other mission agencies in the GOfest movement. GoFest gives the church in the UK a bigger picture of the Great Commission than that of just one organisation.
